"Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me." (Matthew 25:40)

In June 2025, a team of Holy Apostles volunteers partnered with St. George in Bethesda for a week-long mission trip to Tennessee, where they worked with Appalachia Service Project (ASP) to repair homes and build new ones for low-income families. ASP is a non-governmental Christian organization that provides critical home repair and replacement to those whose living conditions are sub-standard and unsafe. This was the second year Holy Apostles partnered with St. George and the 6th trip for the St. George team. Last year, the mission teams repaired homes in West Virginia.

No experience is necessary, just an open heart and hands to put to work. Training is offered starting February before the summer trip, with mandatory monthly meetings that include: information about ASP, the culture in Appalachia, expectations on site, construction and tool training, team building, and fundraising projects.
Please note that for every 5 youths, 2 adult leaders are required. Therefore we take as many youths as we have adult leaders to support
