GOYA (Greek Orthodox Youth of America)
GOYA (Greek Orthodox Youth of America) is a ministry to teenagers of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America for the purpose of fellowship, worship, service, and witness. Under the guidance of Father George Alexson and the GOYA Advisor, activities reflect the Orthodox Christian Faith, Tradition and Life, including a well-rounded program of religious, cultural, community, and social activities.
The goal is to lead our young people to develop a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to better understand our faith and utilize it to navigate teenage challenges, and to become active members in our church and community. We want to equip our teens with the tools necessary to assist them in their life’s everyday and spiritual journey.
Through our many programs, our GOYAns come to learn and grow as Orthodox Christians in today’s society. They make new friends and experience their faith and culture in a loving and fun environment.
