PROJECT #1
THE ICONSCREEN: A SACRED THRESHOLD

The iconscreen is a sacred architectural feature that separates the altar from the congregation and symbolizes the presence of Heaven in our worship space. We plan to build a wooden iconscreen that matches the bishop’s throne and chanter stand. We will reuse our existing icons.

THE HEART OF WORSHIP:
BUILDING THE ALTAR

We are constructing a new altar and solea (the raised platform where sacraments take place) to create a sacred space worthy of the Divine Liturgy.

Oil lamp kept burning before the altar or icons.

Marble-top tables at the back of the altar.
  • Analogion (Chant Lectern) & Stand
Lecterns for liturgical chanting; needed in the near future.
  • Liturgical Carpets
Needed throughout the altar and solea areas, including:
  • 3 around the altar
  • 1 under the chanter stand
  • 1 circular in the center
  • 1 under the bishop’s throne
